HCDI governance ruleHCDI governance rule (Unit 3.1).
Why it matters. The role carries the most discretion of any practitioner credential below HCDI, and the limitation block is where that discretion ends.
The rules. Leading is not deciding. Conflict resolution that can affect a score or gate, gates, corrective-action approval and verification are HCDI's. The platform's HCDI roles are HCDI Compliance, the Internal Reviewer and the HCDI verification role, and a Firm user cannot hold an HCDI role.
Worked example (illustrative). A client executive asks the Lead to "take responsibility" for resolving a disagreement between two sources, to save time. The Lead can propose. The Lead cannot resolve one that can materially affect a score or gate. Common Error. Reading "proposes" as "decides, subject to a formality".
