Why HCDI exists

High-stakes corporate decisions are usually supported by financial, legal and commercial due diligence. But some of the most important risks do not sit in the numbers. They sit in the people: culture, communication, employee confidence, founder readiness and governance, and the ability of an organisation to absorb change and make a transaction work after the documents are signed.

HCDI, the HumanCorp Due Diligence Index, was created to bring structured human evidence into decisions about M&A, joint ventures, succession, pre-IPO readiness, restructuring and institutional transformation. HCDI is built to help boards, investors, founders and corporate leaders with those decisions. Its purpose is simple: People • Evidence • Better Decisions.

HCDI is a human due diligence system designed for high-stakes corporate decisions. It organises evidence that is often treated as subjective into a structured assessment that decision-makers can read and use. It does not replace financial, legal or commercial due diligence. It examines what those disciplines often leave behind: the people who must make the decision work.

HCDI is designed for moments when the human consequences of a decision are material: mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and strategic partnerships, pre-IPO and institutional readiness, succession and ownership transition, and restructuring and transformation. In each, it assesses the human and institutional readiness of the people involved. It does not predict an outcome.

What HCDI is

Financial and legal due diligence answer whether a company's numbers and structure hold up. HCDI answers a different question: will the people hold up? The HumanCorp Due Diligence Index assesses the human and institutional side of a company across five pillars.

The Index has five pillars: P1 Corporate Culture Alignment; P2 Communication & Change Management; P3 Employee Engagement & Retention; P4 Founder Attachment & Ownership Readiness; P5 Regulatory & Governance Readiness.
