HCDI Lead Indexer
Chapter 14. The Tracker, reassessment and closing
Source note
Source basis - S3, physical PDF page 11.
HCDI platform rule (Unit 3.12). The Tracker opens at finalize. The team records In progress, Deferred, Risk accepted and Submitted as complete, each with the client's own instruction. A submitted completion is the client's statement, and never a verification, until HCDI's verification role acts. No Tracker transition changes a score or closes a gate. Only a reassessment changes scores. Two endings exist. An engagement with an issued report stays open. Closing a Deal Workspace is for one that ends without a report, and only a Firm Admin of the owning Firm does it.
Evidence Check. Before recording a transition, ask whose statement it is, and record it as theirs.
Progress is attributed to the actor
Basis - general professional knowledge and editorial explanation. External references are identified explicitly; this section adds no HCDI rule.
A client statement of completion is a claim, not verification. Recording it faithfully keeps the distinction visible. Tracker transitions do not update an issued score or close a gate. Reassessment is a separate assessment rather than rewriting the original document.

Figure 3.14 Progress is attributed to the actor. Original conceptual illustration; arrows organise the discussion and do not establish a validated causal effect or a scoring procedure.
Original exercise L3 E14
Basis - original fictional exercise. The organisation, events and any numbers are invented for learning. No HCDI result is assigned.
A client marks an action complete and asks the Lead to increase the issued score immediately.
