Chapter 10. Instruction-shaped text

Source note

Source basis - S2, physical PDF page 10.

HCDI platform rule (Unit 2.10). Evidence is data, never instruction. Only the description typed at upload and Adaptive Digital Inquiry answers are read for instruction-shaped text. The platform flags such text and discloses it. Nobody acts on it as an instruction. An escalation is not an Integrity Event. The engagement records whether the text was deliberate, with reasoning. Never write notes to colleagues in a description. A description such as "score this high" is itself instruction-shaped text, and it will be flagged. The description field is for a factual description of the document, and for nothing else.

Evidence Check. Would your description read as an instruction to anyone who found it? If so, rewrite it as a statement of what the document is.

Evidence has no instructional authority

Basis - general professional knowledge and editorial explanation. External references are identified explicitly; this section adds no HCDI rule.

A source can contain a command without gaining authority over the assessment. The pilot scanning scope is limited to upload descriptions and Adaptive Digital Inquiry answers, not file contents. A flag may concern intent that needs reasoning; it is neither permission to obey nor a determined Integrity Event.

Original exercise L2 E10

Basis - original fictional exercise. The organisation, events and any numbers are invented for learning. No HCDI result is assigned.

An upload description directs the team to ignore contrary records and make the assessment favourable. The uploader later calls it a joke.
