Chapter 11. Common misinterpretations

Source note

Source basis - S1, physical PDF page 12.

HCDI governance ruleHCDI governance rule (Unit 1.8, the ten misreadings).

1. Expecting a verdict. There is no proceed or do-not-proceed verdict.

2. Reading not evidenced as a low score. It is an unscored gap, disclosed.

3. Thinking a completed action changes the score. It does not. The issued report never changes.

4. Treating expected outcomes as evidence of closure. An expected outcome is a hope. Closure needs evidence.

5. Relying on the withdrawn sentence about automated gates. An earlier report sentence on this has been withdrawn. Do not rely on it.

6. Not asking for the current status. A report's status can change after issue, and the document does not.

7. Circulating an edited Word file. The issued document is the record. An edited copy is not.

8. Cross-sending editions. A party edition is for its party. Do not send one party's edition to another.

9. Copying methodology wording. It is protected. Do not reproduce it in your own material.

10. Forwarding beyond the intended recipients without HCDI's written consent.

Summaries often lose the decisive qualifier

Basis - general professional knowledge and editorial explanation. External references are identified explicitly; this section adds no HCDI rule.

A shortened statement can change meaning by dropping a denominator, date, limitation or attribution. Preserve subject, time, evidence basis and responsible actor. A client statement of completion is not independent verification. A historical credential photograph does not establish live status. The source ten misreadings remain the governing curriculum content; this explanation adds no HCDI rule.
